We have a convertible!

I am really, REALLY behind on blog posts. So much so that I am getting nasty emails from some faithful readers. (as though I have many of them - haha.) Frankly, I have better things to do... like... renovations... being a mommy... soccer... vacations... arg... everything and anything the mommy world includes this summer. And plus, posting pictures takes a while, and I don't seem to have the patience lately, but I promise soon I will sit down with a large glass of wine by the computer one evening, and do them all. I have much to write about and to post... many new developments in our clan this summer.

But, I have one easy picture I can put up this morning. Beautiful isn't it? That's our new flooring JM installed over the wknd. That man works fast!! Thanks also to Grandpa Bert and Uncle Mark for helping. Ah yes, but the car in the picture... That's a dinky car. Small... yes, and those cardboard people are thus very small!! Thanks to Marraine Gigi, LP has people for his dinky cars, and not just any people, but his family, including Tache. I actually love my hair in that car, so voluminous.

Anyways, LP asks for crazy things every once in a while, and I don't have much creativity... but other members of the family seem to be able to deliver. So when LP asked for people to put in his car, Marraine Gigi delivered in less then 2 minutes. I hate you Marraine in these situations... you make me seem so incapable.

Here are other things LP has asked for recently:

-"Maman, est-ce que tu pourrais me construire une rivière?" To go fishing of course. And a pond (the bathtub) was not good enough... it ended there.

(additional information: this was in the middle of winter) Grandma delivered by bringing sand (additinoal information: sand for ice in the driveway) IN THE HOUSE, with seashells and sticks. yup. Aaaaaaaaaaaaanything for LP.

In our house this means playing golf. So Grandpa and Grandma BUILT him a 9-hole golf course on their property. No joke. I think I forgot to post pics of that one.

Thank goodness his imagination kicked in latety, in really high gear. Because he made himself a river in the house just this morning with this made up name I already forget. (but he was kind enough to make sure the kitchen was rocky so we could have breakfast) He also delivered himself a dragon and dragon babies when he wanted one (one green, one red, and they sleep in the kitchen). And when I told him he couldn't play baseball in the house... he played imagination baseball. (pretty good, hey?) Except I still don't understand why he makes himself miss when he tries to catch his imaginary ball in the air with his imaginary glove... I would be a pro baseball player if I imagined it myself.

Too Hot For Comfort

What a hot last few days... sooooooooooo humid. We had rain over the weekend, but it's still insanely hot and sticky. Here is how my boys have been sleeping lately... they're going to not enjoy this post when they're older - but it's too cute! I could also post a picture of JM sleeping the exact same way, but I'll keep that one for me. ;)

Mignon, hein?

Futur Artist at Work

Here are LP and Taylor at Nana's today... futur artists? Very concentrated in their work in any case! He was talking about painting rocks the other day, now I know why!

Hot Summer Day... Naked

LP decided to strip down and run naked in Grandpa and Grandma's back yard last weekend... He also had fun spraying everyone else with the hoze. No complaining though, it was a hot day!

Isn't life great for a toddler???
Poser...
Tante 'Manda gets hit!
Anyone else???

Fishing... at the pool

Saturday was a gorgeous day, so we went fishing. Fishing at Wilmot Park Pool that is. LP is soooooo into fishing, he brings his fishing net and this wooden fish any place where there might be water (because I tell him he can't bring his fishing rod, he settles for the net). He throws the fish in the water, and then has to fish it out with the net. Over, and over and over again. Here are some pics of our afternoon... minus the event of LP running naked through Grandpa and Grandma's sprinkler later in the afternoon... I'll post those as soon as I get them!! And thanks for joining us tante 'Manda!
JS was not impressed with the water temperature - too cold, so he chilled with his doudou by the pool, showing off his sexy body to anyone walking by.
"Rrrrrrrrrrrregarde tante 'Manda! J'ai attrapé un poisson!!"
Let me show you how it's done tante 'Manda...
I love that little diaperless bum!!! I could pinch it!
And to the DeVinks, LeBlancs and Ouellettes... remember Christmas Yankee Swape 2009? Yup, that is LP's corny gift that he picked and was thrilled about... and still is.
Tour à maman...
On se réchauffe!

Fête des pères

We had a really nice Fathers' Day last week... LP has been wanting to bowl for a little while now, so that's what we did. And the little bugger is quite good at it for a (almost) 3 year old. Here's the Papa of the day with his boys.
And the only family shot we got of the day... and we cut off LP's head.
And look at the scores... seriously, we have a natural bowler on our hands. And it's not JM. We were helping him at first, then realized he was better with his own technique... check out the video.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand my boys look like dorks with their shorts, socks and bowling shoes. So very sexy.
But that is a sexy ass JM.
Here is LP's decorated cake for JM. Can't you see that it's JM fishing?? I'm trying to promote creativity here... the only rule I gave LP was to not touch the cake with his fingers! I had a split second of regret when he got the sprinkles out to dump them on all at once...
And then he added a "train" of candles. Every candle in the house basically. ?? That's LP for ya.
So Happy Fathers Day again Jean-Michel! Louis-Pascal and Jan-Sébastien are lucky boys to have you as a Papa.

More Moose... oh my...

Why do moose keep finding their way into my life?? JM got LP a surprise after coming back from Newfoundland: a stuffed moose. He is in love with this moose, now he has to sleep with the moose and his dou-dou... and other times he puts a leash on it and gives it a walk through the house.

Bonne fête Mia!

I am so behind in blog posts... ok, here is the first one of a series today.

LP went to a birthday party last weekend. Mia is one of the little girls he goes to daycare with, Nana's grand daughter actually. So all the kids from daycare were invited to gymnastics and supper (with cake of course) afterwards. What a great idea.... one hour of gymnastics before bed!!!! LP was pooped. He actually really enjoyed gymnastics, he stayed with it for the full hour. Let's just say he doesn't perform as well for soccer. So I think we'll sign him up in the fall for gymnastics too. Check out the BUICK FAMILY BLOG link on the right side of the screen for more pictures.

Here they all are waiting for their turn on the trampoline. Mia the birthday girl goes first! And Emily, Mia's 10 year old cousin came along to help with the kids... and she was amazing!! Thanks Emily!
Obstacle course... FOAM PIT!!!!!!
Stretching... LP discovered that "toes" was not his elbows, but his "orteils". Learning english everyday!
JS is doing well, went for more vaccinations this week... and the little "patapouf" as I call him weights 17lbs, 10 and is 26 inches long!!!! He is just over the 75th percentile. LP was always no more than the 50th percentile. I find him so big...

So aside from a nasty cold we all have this week... things are going well.
