Faire nos valises / Packing

J'ai trouvé quelques photos que j'avais oublié... Louis-Pascal qui "m'aidait" à faire nos valises pour notre voyage en République dominicaine.
I found a few pictures I forgot about... LP "helping" me pack for our trip to the Dominican Republic.

J'aide maman à faire nos valises. I'm helping maman with packing.
Maman, dépêche-toi - on part demain! Maman, hurry up - we leave tomorrow!

Oublie pas la pâte à dents, maman! Don't forget the tooth paste, maman!

Et la crème solaire... And sunscreen...
...je devrais y goûter pour faire sur que c'est de la crème solaire...

...Oui, c'est bel et bien de la crème solaire! Une chance que j'aide maman avec mes intérêts exceptionels à tout goûter!

...Yup, it is indeed sunscreen! Thank goodness maman has me around to do the tasting.
Ok, on est prêt. Ferme la valise!

On se grouille! / On the Move

Louis-Pascal se grouille!! Il ne se traine pas encore, mais il fait des 360 sur ses fesses, tourne de son dos à sa bédaine à son dos, se glisse sur sa bédaine et il investit beaucoup d'efforts à se grouiller. Il se fruste aussi très vite quand ça ne bouge pas assez vite ou lorsqu'il reste pris! Il va probablement commencer à se trainer bien vite...
LP is starting to move around, not yet crawling, but he does a 360 turn on his bum, turns from back to front and back, glides himself on his stomach and overall, tries REALLY hard to move. He gets frustrated with himself most of the time, especially when he gets stuck, but I think he'll be crawling any day now.

Donc on s'est acheté une barrière pour les escaliers la semaine passée. On ne l'avait même pas installée et Louis-Pascal avait grimpé sur la boîte... il fallait prendre une photo! Pas mal drôle de voir une tonne de jouets dans l'arrière plan et lui, il veux tout simplement une boîte plate. Il a l'air déterminé, non? Il à réussit à faire cela dans quelques secondes, le temps que je me tourne pour me verser un café!! Il va sans dire que la barrière est maintenant installée...
So we got a baby gate for our VERY high stair case last week. We didn't even put it up and he had crawled onto the box... a picture had to be taken. Pretty funny how there are tones of toys in the background and all he wants is a flat box. He looks pretty determined, hun? He did that in only a few seconds, all I did was turn around to pour myself a coffee!! Needless to say the gate is now up...

Il nous impressione avec ses exploits et comment vite il grandit...

Welcome to the Great Big World Azalliz!!

JM became the godfather of a beautiful little baby girl a few weeks ago. Jenny, his stepsister, gave birth to Azalliz, who was born April 9th at 8,2 lbs. Azalliz means "Angel" in Maliseet, a perfect little name when you see her face. The entire family is in love with her and we all jokingly fight to hold her... we only give her back to Jenny when she's hungry for the boob (sorry Jenny!).

Azalliz was born just a couple of days before we left for our trip, so we were unable to go see her right away. We drove up to Tobique to see her last weekend... and she's a cutie. As you can see, she has A LOT of hair! And here is the new little family: Julian, Jenny and Azalliz (at 2 weeks old!). I can't believe LP was that small not too long ago... he's 19lbs now!!
It will be nice for LP to have another little cousin to play with when they get older!

Welcome to the family Azalliz! We love you already.

République dominicaine / Dominican Republic

Désolée pour le retard à afficher des photos de notre voyage en République dominicaine. En voici quelques unes... nous avons beaucoup relaxé!!
Sorry for the delay in posting pictures from our trip to the Dominican Republic. Here are a few... we did a lot of relaxing!!

Le voyage en avion s'est très bien passé. Jean-Michel était un ange... et Louis-Pascal aussi. ;) Le voici dans le terrain de jeux à l'aéroport de Halifax à 6:00am!!
The travelling by plane went went. JM was an angel... so was LP! ;) Here he is in the Halifax airport playground at 6:00am!!

Et il a très vite tombé endormi dans l'avion.
And he fell asleep in the plane almost right away.

Les siestes étaient à l'agenda touts les jours! On a beaucoup dormi au bord de la plage et de la piscine aussi...
Naps were on the agenda everyday... we did a lot of sleeping!

On a aussi passé beaucoup de temps dans l'eau. Louis-Pascal ne se tannait jamais!
We also spent a lot of time in the water. LP never got tired of that!

En mini-autobus! Travelling in the mini-bus!
Donne-moi en juste un peu, svp!! C'mon, I just want a sip! Toujours cool avec papa... Keeping it cool with dad...
On a passé du temps avec Malou, qui était pas mal cute!!
We spent some time with our favorite Lou... she was looking good!!

Mon premier mots / My First Word

Devinez c'est quoi le permier petit mots à Louis-Pascal? Papa? Maman? NON! ...Tache!! Hé oui, Louis-Pascal peut dire "Tache" et "donne". "Donne" parcqu'on s'amuse à lancer des jouets avec Tache et elle les rapporte à Louis-Pascal pour le faire rire, en donnant la commande de "donne", elle échappe le jouets. C'est vraiment comique voir Louis-Pascal répéter "donne".
Guess what is LP's first word?? Papa? Maman? Nop... Tache!! Yup, LP can say "Tache" and "donne". If only Tache could understand this moment!! "Donne" is the word we use for her to drop the toy we just threw for her to fetch back to us to make LP laugh. Quite funny to see LP repeat "donne" after we say it.

Et on part pour la République Dominicaine vendredi pour une petite vacance!! Woo-oo! Nous serons de retour lundi de la semaine prochaine... des photos et mise-à-jour suivront à ce moment!
And we leave for the Dominican Republic Friday for a vacation!! Woo-oo! We'll be back Monday of next week, so pictures and an update at that time!
