Ma sucette? Yak! / My Pacifier? Gross!

Quelques journées après sa fête, nous avons convaincu Louis-Pascal que sa succette commençait à être pas mal dégueulasse, qu'il était un grand garçon maintenant et ne l'avait probablement plus de besoin... Peut-être qu'il voudrait le jetter à la poubelle? Et juste comme ça, il l'a fait! Quelques questions le lendemain, mais vraiment il est sans sucette depuis 2 semaines! Il est aussi pas mal fier d'en parler; mais garde sa doudou! (qui est depuis surnommé la "belle doudou"... pff!).
A few days after his birthday, we convinced LP that his pacifier was getting pretty gross and that he probably didn't need it anymore since he was a big boy now... We talked about him maybe putting it in the garbage. And he did! Just like that! He asked for it a couple of times the next day, and we reminded him of what he did... and nothing, he was ok with it! He even proudly talks about it; but he still has his doudou! (Which he now calls his "beautiful doudou" - goodness that kid is funny!).

Notre petit garçon grandit vite, pu un bébé! Si seulement on pourrait s'essayer avec le petit pot encore avec un peu plus de succès... surtout avant que bébé #2 arrive!
So our baby really is a big boy now... If we could just give potty training another try now...and it be successful, before baby #2 arrives!

Fête de 2ans à LP / LP's 2nd Birthday Party

Le 25 juillet dernier, Louis-Pascal a célébré son 2e anniversaire de naissance avec sa famille deVink, Guérette et Leblanc. Puise qu'il aime tellement jouer à "Tiger Woooooods!", nous sommes allé au Bucket Club jouer au golf! Vraiment une belle matinée, et bien sur tante 'manda nous a donné plein de photos! Merci à tout le monde! Thanks everyone for a great party!

Don!

LP really loves his daycare but the kids there also love Don, Nana's (Monique) husband. He has a monster ride-on lawn mower (it looks like a monster to me!) and the kids got a little ride on it the other day while he was mowing the lawn. LP wears the ear protection quite well don't you think? All three of them together, they were really enjoying it! The simplest things make them happy, but what a treat - Thanks Don! It also brought me down memory lane when Don would let me and other kids just sit on his motorbike with him parked in the back yard when I was very young...

Lecture avec Mémère / Reading with Mémère

Mémère est venue nous visiter hier soir et elle et Louis-Pascal on fait la gang de colleux ensemble en lisant son histoire avant l'heure du dodo... Caillou bien sur.
Mémère came for a visit last night and LP and her had some cuddle time reading his bedtime story... Caillou of course.

Camping

Louis-Pascal est allé faire du camping à Mactaquac avec Ganpa et Ganma la fin de semaine passée. Il s'est vraiment amusé et Jean-Michel et Christiane en ont profité pour passer du temps de couple ensemble! ;)

Camping last weekend at Mactaquac with Ganpa and Ganma (Chris' parents... LP decided that's what he will be calling them... or he just can't roll the rrrr enough!). He had a great time... and JM and Chris had great couple time too! ;)

La vie est belle: on sort de la tente on pyjama, on mets notre polar, nos crocs et Ganma nous sert le petit déjeuner pour ensuite aller au lac avec Ganpa.
Life is good camping: roll out of the tent in your pjs, put on your fleece ands crocs and Ganma will make you breakfast then you can go spend some time by the pond...

Une petite randonée à bicyclette... Let's go for a bike ride...
