Premiers vaccins / First Vaccines

LP has his third doctor's appointement today. It turns out Chris' childhood doctor took her and LP as patients again, so it was pretty neat to return to NB and not have the challenge of finding a doctor.

LP is now two months old and weighs 11lbs 2oz and is 21 inches and 3/4 long. He's right in the middle of the charts on his height... Wooo, excitement! (sarcasme) We've been in the middle of every average and chart from day one with this pregnancy ;) But everything is going well with LP so far, he even had a few smiles for the doctor.

So the shots went well, he received three of them today. He fell asleep on Chris by the time the nurse arrived. The first two he squirmed around a bit, but it was the third one that woke him up and had him crying. Nothing a little boob couldn't fix though...

Here are a few pictures of LP and Tache before we left to go see our new Doctor. Chris is already having way too much fun dressing him up as a little man...

We're so not impressed to be sitting here. C'est pas mal plate prendre des photos apparament...Why are you smiling so much?? C'est pas si drole qu'ca!
Oh gross Tache, LP does not need any kisses, he gets plenty from everyone else, thanks!
And here are some pictures of LP and Chris this evening. Chris has been sick for the past couple of days, and LP had a small fever from his vaccinations... we really miss JM too.

Demain, on relax! Tomorrow we're going to take it easy!

Jazz Festival

LP and Chris went to the Fredericton Jazz Festival on Sunday with the Guérette family, it was a goergeous day. All we were missing was JM! Poor him, he's all alone in Kitchener right now.

Max's fiancée has a really good eye in photography... here are a few of her pictures.

Des sourires pour maman. Smiles for mommy.
J'suis MANGEABLE. I am SO cute.
Dans les bras à Gand-Maman. Time with Grand-Maman.
Hey, uncle Max...what are you up to?

Ca roule!! / Time flies!

Holy sh---. It's been a month since the last bolg update. Sorry... but you'll never guess the developments since then. This is going to be a long update...

Dawn and Denis Ouellette came to visit LP in early August. Poor them... It was the first night (actually the only one come to think about it) LP decided to stay up for a few hours and cry. He was fussy the next morning, threw up three meals in one shot (no exageration, that was also a first and only) and Mom and Dad were pretty tired. So Dawn and Denis saw us at our... most vulnerable. But it was so nice to see you them (Denis, we're still waiting for the pictures! And yes, the one with you and LP is going on the blog as soon as we get it.)

We packed, moved and gave possession of our house on August 25th. That was nice, but weird...definately some funny stories to share on that but it'll take too long to write on the blog. Chris tried to tie things up as best possible wihout JM as he was getting ready to defend his thesis, so you can imagine how busy and stressed he was. We moved in with JM's supervisor for a week between selling our house and heading to Ontario (Thanks Bob and Teri!) and we were spoiled. Amazing home-cooked meals every day, an incredible backyard to relax in, Tache had her bestfriend Page (their young black lab) to play with... it was nice.

So on August 28th, JM defended his thesis and became Dr. DeVink. Yup, Chris and LP were in attendance to witness the whole thing and it was impressive. Ok, LP slept for almost the entire thing, but it was nice to say he was there. We had a nice party that night to celebrate JM's achievement... Then Chris an LP took the plane to Toronto very early the next morning as the movers were soon going to arrive with our belongings.

Grand-Maman, Grand-Papa and Tante Gigi (Chris' family) were meeting Chris and LP at the airport. They were finally going to meet LP, at 5 weeks old (and weighing already 9lbs2oz at his Dr.'s appointment a few days earlier). The three of them were so crazy excited that they managed to get into a secured part of the airport so they could see him earlier. It was funny, here are a few pictures, notice how no one likes to hang out with Chris anymore:

We then drove to Guelph to see the new house we purchased being built, then to Kitchener where our temporary living arangements would be until the house would be ready. "Temporary living arrangements" means we were living in this horrible townhouse in the projects, or so JM liked to call it. JM had a hard time finding a place which would allow for a 2 month stay, with a dog. There was nothing in Guelph, but he managed to find something in Kitchener, 15 minutes away. We thought it was a nice place... It's hard to find a place 3 provinces away - and it turned out to be a horrible neighbourhood. We managed to laugh about it, but we didn't spend much time there. After the movers finished getting all of our belongings in there, there wasn't much room for anything else. We actually went camping for a couple of nights, LP's first camping experience.

Chris' family stayed with them for about a week, until JM arrived. He travelled with Tache and drove across the country... not pleasant I'm sure, but apparently there was a bit of fishing involved on the way so it couldn't have been that bad. ;)

As soon as JM arrived, the second week of September, we drove back to New Brunswick so LP could meet the rest of his family. The first day was a 12-hour day in the car, and LP was actually amazing. We stopped at Berthier-sur-Mer to rest, where Chris' godparents, Micheline and Jean as well as her grand-mother, Lou, live. We had a great time catching up on family developments, we hadn't seen each other in years. Pictures to come! The next day we left early and stopped at Edmundston to visit more of Chris' family. It was a 6-hour drive that day and we made it home... finally.

BUT the big news is, JM had an interview while in Fredericton... and two days later, they offered him a job. As of October 15, JM will work at the consulting firm JacquesWhitford, and he's pretty happy about it. Yup, 2 moves in a month. We never thought moving back to NB would happen so quickly. And we thought we would only be here 7-10 days... but now Chris, LP and Tache are staying, no point to go back to Ontario now, just to come back a couple of weeks later. JM left a couple of days ago to finalize the moving, selling of the house we have yet to move into, etc. etc. More stress and work, but it will be well worth it once we have our own place IN NEW BRUNSWICK!!! We still can't believe it...

So time flies and there's too much stuff happening. We're back on updating the blog though... we'll keep you posted!
