Petit ornitologue / Little Bird Watcher

Louis-Pascal aime déjà observer les oiseaux... comme son papa! Il adore s'assoir dans sa chaise haute le matin et observer les oiseaux sur le balcon. Il va falloir lui acheter des petites jumelles bien vite!
LP is becoming quite the little bird watcher already... just like his dad! He loves to sit in his high chair in the morning and observe the birds on the balcony. We're going to have to get him little junior binoculars pretty soon!Jean-Michel les nourrit pas mal souvent et Tache aime ça les observer aussi. Il y a un petit écureuil qui aime bien les taquiner...
JM feeds them pretty much everyday and Tache also likes this ritual a lot already. There's a little squirel that loves to keep them entertained and teases Tache on a regular basis.

Manger quoi?? / Eat What?

Louis-Pascal à mangé son premier repas de solide ce matin! Woo-oo!! Un bon petit bol de céréale au riz avec le lait à Maman... hmmm! C'est Jean-Michel qui s'en est occupé et Louis-Pascal a vraiment aimé ça (Papa aussi d'ailleur)! Un peu de grimaces au début mais vers la fin il ouvrait sa bouche pour en avoir d'autre, malgré que la moitié tombait sur la bavette... il ne maitrise pas l'action d'avaler encore mais c'est trop drôle le voir s'essayer!!
LP had his first meal of solids this morning! Woo-oo!! A small little bowl of rice cereal mixed in with mommy's milk... hmmm! JM took care of it and LP actually really liked it (Dad too actually)! A few funny faces at the beggining but by the end he was opening his mouth ready for the next bite, although half of it would end up on the bib... he hasn't quite mastered the art of swallowing yet, but it's funny watching him try!!
Jean-Michel était pas mal bon... JM was really good at it...

Christiane, pas autant... Chris, not so much...

Mon premier rhume / My First Cold

Louis-Pascal à fêté sa fête de cinq mois avec son premier rhume. Son nez coulait beaucoup et il a passé le 26 et 27 décembre à se coler et se faire bercer par Papa et Maman. Le voici endormit dans le salon... il faisait vraiment pitié.
LP turned five months old this month and also celebrated with his first cold. His nose was really runny and December 26 & 27 all he did was get snuggled and rocked by Mom and Dad. Here is sleeping on the couch in the living room... we felt really bad for him.

Visite avec Père Noel / Visit with Santa Claus

Louis-Pascal est allé visiter le Père Noel cet après-midi au bureau à Grand-maman Cécile. Tante Gigi l'a aidé à s'assoir sur les genoux du Père Noel... et il n'a presque pas pleuré! Juste un peu à la fin quand il en avait assez. Il a eu un beau jouet en bois, un marteau avec des bloques... il ne fait que les ronger pour l'instant mais semble bien les aimer!
LP went to visit Santa Claus this afternoon at Grand-maman Cécile's office. Aunt Gigi helped him get settled on Santa's lap and he almost didn't cry... only a bit at the end when he had enough. He received a nice toy made out of wood, a hammer with blocks... but all he can do is chew on them right now, but he seems to like them!

Tante Gigi!! Ou est-ce que t'es partie??? Laisse-moi pas ici avec ce bonhomme là!

Nouvelle chambre / New Room

Well, LP FINALLY has his room. I think Chris is enjoying it more than he is right now, but we're pretty happy on how it turned out.

The cribb is the one Chris and other members of her family and extended family slept in, and the quilt-blanket was started by Lou, Chris' grandmother, when she was very young, I even think before she was married... anyways, she found it unfinished not too long ago so Chris and Grand-maman Cécile finished the rest of it (it took three generations to finish... so it's gorgeous and pretty special!). The changing table was made by Grand-papa Norm especially for LP. The toy chest was also made by Grand-papa Norm but a few years ago (when he was hinting that he was ready to have a grand child). The art on the walls are by Chris's aunt, Irène Guérette and the aboriginal decorations a bit everywhere are from Grandma Gina. We also have a few old toys in the room, that are both JM's and Chris' when they were kids, and everyone's gifts and souvenirs made it in!

And then there's the popular mobile from the Michaud family: LP LOVES it.

2e prise de vaccins / 2nd Set of Vaccines

Jeudi, Louis-Pascal avait un rendez-vous pour sa deuxième prise de vaccins. Gigi est venue avec Christiane et Louis-Pascal pour un peu de support moral puisque Jean-Michel était au travail. Le pauvre p'tit s'est fait piquer trois fois sur les cuisses, mais c'était pas si pire. Gigi s'est aussi fait enlever ses quatre dents de sagesse la journée d'avant donc elle aussi n'était pas dans le meilleur des états! Mais Louis-Pascal avait de beau sourire pour le docteur et les infirmières. Il pèse maintenant 14 lbs. 10 onzes et est 25 pouces de long. Et comme d'habitude, il se trouve dans le milieu de toutess moyenne: il est dans le 50e pourcentage en poids ainsi qu'en longueure.
On Thursday, LP went in for his 2nd set of vaccines. Gigi came with Chris and LP for some moral support since JM was at work. The poor little thing was poked three times in the legs. It wasn't so bad. Gigi also had her four wisdome teeth pulled out the day before... so she was also in rough shape. But LP had some nice smiles for the doctor and nurses. He now weighs 14lbs and 10 ounzes, and is 25 inches long. As usual, he is in the middle of all averages: he is in the 50th percentile for not only his weight, but his height as well.

Tourtière-time!

Louis-Pascal était occupé samedi dernier à aider Grand-maman à faire ses tourtières. Les parents à Christiane et sa soeur Gigi sont venue nous visiter et on s'est amusé en famille dans la cuisine.
LP was busy helping Grand-maman make tourtières this past Saturday. Chris' parents and her sister Gigi came over and we had a great time in the kitchen.

Louis-Pascal à maintenant pesque quatre mois et demi et à quatre mois, il pèsait 14 lbs.! Il dort ses nuits, fait des belles rizettes et nous raconte souvent des belles histoires... Yé pas mal crasse astheure!!

LP is now almost four and a half months old and at four months weights 14 lbs! He sleeps through the night, smiles, laughs and makes the funniest of sounds.

Bulles / Bubbles

Chloe et Gabe ont essayé le bain tourbillon dans notre nouvelle maison hier... ils ont eu un bain aux bulles INCROYABLE. Les bulles se multiplient vraiment vite avec les jets tourbillions... J'ai mis un peu trop de savon. Carol et moi on a presque paniqué, mais les enfants ont eu un fun bleu!
Chloe and Gabe tried out the jet tub in our new house yesterday... and had a HUGE bubble bath. You should see the bubbles grow when you turn on the jets!! I put a bit too much soap in, Carol and I almost panicked, but the kids had fun!

Tout est beau, mignon est propre dans cette photo (pas de jets tourbillions encore...).

Monstre Bulles à l'attaque! Bubble Monster ready to attack.Louis-Pascal ne s'est pas baigné, mais il s'est fait attaquer de bulles quand même. Et Carol aussi... mais je l'ai laissé aller avec les bulles dans les cheveux un peu plus longtemps avant de lui dire. ;)

LP watched from the sidelines... but he was attacked by the Bubble Monster anyways. So was Carol, but I let her sit there for a while with bubbles in her hair before letting her know.

Bonne fête Chloe! / Happy Birthday Chloe!

Nous avons finallement déménagé dans notre nouvelle maison et nous avons put dépacter l'ordi afin de pouvoir télécharger les photos des derniers deux mois de notre caméra. Chloe, la cousine à Louis-Pascal avait célébré sa fête de huit ans et nous avons eu une belle fête en famille. Louis-Pascal avait finallement eu la chance de vraiment passer du temps avec ses sousins, Zack, Chloe et Gabe. Vous allez voir qu'il a changé pas mal dans ses photos, daté du mois d'octobre.
Well we have moved into our new house, and I have finally unpacked the computer and downloaded some more pictures of the last two months. Chloe, LP'S cousin, had her eigth birthday and we had a special birthday with family. LP had the chance to really hang out with his cousins, Zack, Chloe and Gab, for the first time really. This was in October however... you'll notice he's quite a bit smaller in the pictures!

Chloe veut toujours être avec Louis-Pascal. Elle est une mini-maman et sera une future gardienne merveilleuse!
Chloe can never get enough of LP... she's quite the little mini-mom, a great babysister in training!!

Zack est un merveilleux grand-frère, même avec son nouveau petit cousin!
Zack is his usual self in being an amazing big brother, even with his new little cousin.
