Mère à Jean-Michel / JM's Mom

On a de la grosse visite cette semaine! Sandra, la mère à Jean-Michel, est arrivée à Saskatoon dimanche passé (le 20 mai, pour la fête à Jean-Michel - very cute). Elle est à Saskatoon pour deux semaines car elle a une conférence à l'Université de la Saskatchewan, un très bel adon. Donc la première semaine on a relaxé pas mal et placoté beaucoup car la température n'était pas trop belle pour visiter la ville et se promener. Voici Jean-Michel et Sandra en train de déjeuner...
We received a wonderfull visitor this week! Sandra, JM's mother arrived in Saskatoon last Sunday (she arrived on 20 May for JM's birthday...perfect timing). She is in town for almost two weeks. The first week is stricktly for relaxing and then she goes back to work on the second week as she is actually here for a conference at the University of Saskatchewan.


Mais Sandra sera toujour Sandra, et elle a décidé de se garder occupée la semaine passée et faire sa "petite contribution à notre
transition au déménagement" (comme elle dit si bien à-la-Sandra) et a finit de peinturer nos armoires de cuisine! C'était plutôt une contribution ÉNORME, étant donné que Christiane fut interdite de l'aider à finir... bédaine et les odeurs de peinture de plastique ne vont pas bien ensemble et Jean-Michel s'est assuré qu'elle ne ramasse plus de pinceau depuis sa petite visite à l'hôpital. Frustrant pour Christiane qui se sans constamment limitée, mais le future-papa à probablement raison d'être plutôt ferme avec elle...
Relaxing to Sandra is a little different than most. She is a very busy person and is always looking for ways to help out. One of our ongoing projects was to finish painting the kitchen cupboards. Chris had started, but since her visit to the hospital after doing some painting, JM prohibited her from picking up a paintbrush for this job as Varathane and pregnancy are probably not the best combination (despite no studies showing the opposite). So, Sandra figured she would help out. THANKS MOM!

En fin de semaine nous avont fait du magasinage pour bébé (finallement) ...mais nous avons fait tellement de magasinage qu'aujourd'hui fut une journée de repos majeure. Ça fait beaucoup de bien d'avoir de la famille en visite, surtout pour ces petites préparations ensemble; on s'est bien amusé. Quelques photos suivront...
This weekend Chris and Sandra did a lot of shopping. They were yardsale junkies on Friday and Saturday looking around for good deals on baby clothes. We're happy to say that we now have just about all the clothes we'll need until the baby is off to university! They had lots of fun doing the mother-in-law daughter thing, but it was also exhausting, so today we are just relaxing around the house. More photos and stories of the visit to come...
